I-Lynn & Stanley - The Union

16th December was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect and the skies were magnificent blue. The winds were a little chilly, but only to compliment the sun's warm embrace. If Melbourne's weather is hard to predict, that I-lynn and Stan could not be more blessed by this perfect weather.

I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story....

The preperation

To side track... thought I would like to introduce our new member of the family (together with stan, that is...) Meet Rocco Tay, their dog with an italian name and a chinese family name...
and mom found a new friend, Lucus, I-lynn's Secondary school friend's baby boy.

Lunch at the restaurant "the Georges" nearby was delumptious! (I think I may have just invented this word.) It had the most nostalgic australian ease about it. Drinks in one hand and delicious finger foods making their way about. I apologise I did not get a good shot of the spread, but everytime something came about, it was gone in a second! Honest! Or yes.... I could possibly have forgotten about it. Only because I was just having such a good time.

After Lunch, off we (the bridal party) went for photo shoots around beautiful melbourne city. I'll give you a slight preview of how awesome the professional shots will turn out....

Making our way

Clad in sleeveless dresses, the girls braved the winds, while our dashing groomsmen, with their 'fatboy' ties had to strut their stuff down the streets of Melbourne. The experience of being a part of such a special day was just surreal.

But gosh was it tiring. We took a 15 minute break, and then on we went to prepare for dinner....

(Ain't the mutt adorable!!)

Stay tuned for more....

PS: But only to be revealed after the dinner in KL on the 23rd Dec. I shall not give away the surprise of how beautiful the bride and how charming the groom will look. ;) Look forward to seeing you soon!

singapore marathon

Part of the fun of taking part in marathons is race analyses like this:

Check out my results by clicking on the link! http://www.runpix.info/sin06/21/finord.php
And you can also click on bird's eye view, and location on course. This is the fourth time i've run in the Singapore marathon since I started taking part in 2003, and I ran the half (21k) for the second time.

The weather was GREAT on Sun, Dec 3, cos it was cool and overcast throughout the way :) but I still didn't do a better time. Sigh. Next time I guess.

Ah Lian's Wedding - Part II

My very first contribution!! Sorry Sharon (our faithful site admistrator), for taking THIS long to post something on this blog. But nevertheless, here it is..... our weekend trip up in KL for Ah Lian's wedding!

So, over the 25th-26th weekend, us Lee's (me and dad), the two Tan sister's (Mom and Cheh-ee) and Matt, all packed nicely in a car drove over to KL for Ah Lian's Big day!
Our steady driver unfortunately got pulled over for the choice of whether he wanted to get a summon, or not (?!?).... What a perculiar concept, of having the choice of whether we would like to get a summon or not. Yes, for those who are faster than I was then, would have already figured out that he really meant was "give me $50 riggit so you won't have to queue up to pay your fine"! Sigh.... How indirect.

Anyhow, it was a great weekend up in KL, attending Lian's wedding. Here are some "attempted-professional" shots that we took, whilst trying to figure out how to work our new digital SLR! Enjoy!

After the tea ceromany was over, everyone was dispatched to prepare for the night ahead. More to come in part III....... (Stay tuned!)
