Prior to Naomi, introducing Lee Hao Jern, born Dec 20, 2010

The newborn, first with ta jie, and then by himself

The handsome baby boy @ 3rd month

Welcome to Naomi Tay! Born Feb 10, 2011. The newest addition to the extended family

Dearest folks,

Naomi was born on the 10th of Feb, Thurs AM at 705 after a relatively short labour from when my waterbag broke at 1015pm the night before. I did not have strong contractions till about 1am. I was given 2 sleeping tablets assuming that I will only go into labour in the morning but Naomi was insistent on coming out. I was drowsy most of labour requiring lots of Stan's encouragement to get me through it. We were in hospital for 4 days before settling home yesterday.

Dad arrived in Melbourne last night and already doing a fantastic job being a confinement lady. He has cooked up his 1st meal of ginger chicken claypot rice that smells delicious. Stan and I are getting into our routine of feeding, changing, and settling. I don't know how Karen did it with twins, my utmost respect to you and Chris.

Here are a few videos the excited father has come out with:

Surviving typhoon ketsana!

posting mei mei's report from manila:

Mathew flew off to Papua b4 typhoon. I was alone with kids.

"My condo was flooded below ground level. Cars from basement have to relocate to ground. I was not aware n told driver to drop us at basem't coz lobby's too windy n wet. At basement u can see waterfall everywhere. Rain water rushed in from any openings. Elevator masuk air n not operating .

Condo's residents r either stuck at lobby or in own units. So I walked up with 2 boys carrying my big laptop from basement 3 to penthouse!! Boys were having fun. I saw stars dancing when arriving at penthouse. More than 30 floors. Marcus said his feet were numbed. Luckily I've done some cardio in gym this month. Exciting? Mathew said he missed all the fun! I said he 'good dog life'.

The typhoon supposed to sweep across northern area but I think diverted. I didn't expect flash flood at my area coz this is a new developm't with better drainage system. The national weather forecast failed to warn us on the intensity of the rain. I only found out many died at other areas. Count my blessings."

(And then, if you're wondering about Mabel)
"I sent Mabel to school for Model United Nation (high schooler pretend to be rep from all countries for speech n debate) early morning that day. It was only drizzling. So she was safe in school nearby. The route between school n home r safe to drive with ankle height water.

This is not a super typhoon like the one in 2006 but the amt of rainfall was highest record in 42yrs."
